Helping young people of school age in Glasgow's West End to explore and experience the Christian faith

What we do
We are experienced in working with schools to meet the demands of the Curriculum for Excellence. Since 2020 we have had the opportunity to be more integrated in the school communites of Hyndland Secondary and Hillhead High.
We been heavily involved in devloping wellbeing programmes to provide ongoing support for pupils in several local schools. This has included, running small groups and offering one to one support to individals pupils in both the secondary and primary schools. Some of the topics we have covered have been Stress Management, How to Improve Sleep, Resilience and Wellbeing and Managing Finances (using CAP Money Course). We have also championed the Flourish Project in schools in our area, supporting the development of healthy self-esteem, mental and emotional well-being.
Every Christmas and Easter we run special RME programme for the primary schools in our area which explore the Christian celebrations of these times of year in a fun and interactive 2 hour workshop.

We partner with Scripture Union Scotland’s through the Associate Worker Scheme, and we follow the SU protocol to ensure that all our work is appropriate and respects the freedom of each child.

CHURCH WORK
We support local churches in their own youth work projects, organising training opportunities (including child protection), directly supporting church youth workers, helping with recruitment and employment issues, and co-ordinating joint activities.
We work with volunteers as well as paid staff to support the churches in their efforts to meet the needs of their young people.
